What we hold, and why.
Tottie helps parents find children's clothing they will actually like. To do that we hold some information about you and your family. This page says what, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
If you only read the site: your email address, if you choose to give it to us, and standard analytics about which pages are visited. We do not sell this and we do not share it with brands.
If you use Tottie’s recommendations: the preferences you tell us, and information about the children you are shopping for — birth month and year (never the exact date), sizes and measurements, and what they are interested in. This exists so the recommendations work; a capsule without a size is useless.
What we never ask for: your child’s exact date of birth, full name, school, address, photographs, or anything else we do not need in order to size and style clothing. We ask for the least that makes the product work.
Why we collect it
To build recommendations, to size them correctly, and to improve our fit data so the next parent gets a better answer. That is the whole list.
Who sees it
- We do not sell your data. Not to brands, not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- We do not share your children’s information with retailers. When you click through to buy, the retailer sees an ordinary visit from their affiliate link.
- Aggregate fit data — how a brand’s sizing runs across many children, with no individual identifiable — may be shared or published. Your child is never identifiable in it.
We use service providers to run the site (hosting, email, analytics, payments). They process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
Affiliate links
When you click a link to a retailer, they may set their own cookies to credit us for the sale. That is their cookie under their policy, not ours.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or export it. Email hello@tottie.app and we will action it. Deleting your account deletes your family’s information. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click.
Children
Tottie is a service for parents. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Children do not have accounts on Tottie. Where a child uses a supervised view, it runs inside the parent’s own signed-in session: the parent controls it, and anything the child adds requires the parent’s approval before it goes anywhere.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so here and email anyone on our list. The date below always reflects the current version.
